TYF (Tattoo Your Face) is currently a 1-man operation based in the US. Everything from the web development to the clothing designs to customer service inquiries are handled by me. This won’t be the case forever, but it’s important to me to uphold the highest standards of quality and creativity that I can, so it may be a while until the team grows.

Just know that when you support TYF you support a small brand and a creator that cares. Right now 100% of everything I make from this project is being reinvested into bigger and better things for the brand, and there’s a lot of really new and exciting things I have planned for the future.

Contrary to the name of the brand, my goal isn’t actually to encourage everyone to tattoo their faces. The name that I chose for this brand is just a trope that reflects the ideals of a counterculture that I believe is highly important and relevant.

From a young age I felt a desire to separate myself from mainstream culture. General society felt alien, unnatural, and harmful to me in many ways. I felt that I lived in a society designed to turn people into objects, just means to various ends, with little-to-no respect for the human experience.

I saw tattooing myself as a quick and effective way to distance myself from that culture and gain the freedom that I desired. Truth be told, it was just as effective as I hoped it would be. So I continued to tattoo more and more of my body, and the more I did, the less confined by society I felt. Was I really willing to sacrifice my body and my appearance to get the freedom I wanted? It turns out absolutely, yes.
